I think you know how serious I am about the [title] position you have offered and how
pleased I am to have received the offer. I do have some other personal commitments that I
am rapidly trying to bring to closure. These obligations will influence my decision, and I
find that I will need some additional time to respond to your offer.
The opportunity with Fanfare Publishing is outstanding. I am still active in the
interviewing process that I began several months ago, however, and want to see those
opportunities through to conclusion to ensure making the best decision for me and for my
future employer.
I anticipate being able to give you a firm answer by April 20xx. Please let me know if this
